I can not tell you how important love is – but you know pure love when you feel it and see it – it changes your life – there is so little in life more powerful than pure love – a mothers love for new born – a father’s love for his wife or family – a love for service and sacrifice in you countries defense – to sacrifice life – to save some one else’s life…
These are just a few examples – the the deeper love of service and sacrifice of Jesus Christ to come and do the Father’s will over your own life and will – that is hard to understand and appreciate – but should be prayed about and mediated upon almost daily… Christ said he came into the this world not to do his own will but the will of him who sent him – his father’s will – Heavenly Father’s will – over Christ’s will –
This light – this love – this sacrifice is profound to say the least….
Let’s look at a little of his love – Christ was always seeking to know and follow the Father’s will over his own – to me one of the clearest example is about the story of
Lazarus Is Raised from the Dead
Notice – what Christ says before he calls Lazarus out – he thanks that Father that he has heard him and that he has had approval to raise him from the death – they were close friends and friends of family –
It’s not enough to know the Father but it’s more important to do the Father’s will in all things that you can – that’s what Christ did.. this is far from easy for us to do – we error in judgement – we lack the pure inspiration and revelation, we are sinful and we often lack the understanding and wisdom to know the difference between our wills and GOD’S WILL…
So what are we to do – have faith, believe – repent – cease to do evil – and learn to follow what light and truth we do have – be faithful to it – seek it, love it and do it – work for it – find it and follow it – yes our lack of humility, and faith are often a problem – if we can learn to humble ourselves it becomes much easier to be guided by greater light and spirit of GOD…
There are not fast and easy fixes when it comes to these things…
Sorry no push a button and you have it with no effort – no faith, no repentance, no forsaking, no work, no humility, no sorrow, no forgiveness, greater love, greater service, greater faithfulness…
Often these struggles will last way over a life time, and continue in the next life, to what extent we – right now do not fully know – but we do know that THE quest begins here – in this life and must be started here – so on with the challenge and blessed are they who do seek, who follow, who pray, who desire to repent – who learn step by step that they are loved, they are a child of GOD who have the ability and charge to – come unto the Father – through Jesus Christ – by Christ’s grace we can do and become more then we currently are – we too like Peter can step out and on the water and before we fully sink – are picked up – rebuked for doubting and encouraged to great faith – greater service and greater love for God and Mankind –
Indeed seek the Love of God and Light of God – and with this Truth become a greater life and light of Jesus Christ our Lord – that in time men might become the light of the World – and the Life of the World – through Jesus Christ and all that we hope to be – as sons and daughters of the Most High God! Take step of faith and follow this only begotten of the Father – a man or sorrows a man of Grief a man who know the the Father’s will and did it – who went rejoicing because he could know the Father and learn to do his will – over his own will…
This should give us great hope and great power to come unto Christ and let him work with us as Potter of Clay – would with his Clay – to some day become also a chosen vessel of Water – of life and of light to the World!
So let us learn to let our lights shine with Jesus Christ – Our Lord and Savior! In Jesus Christ’s name – Amen – Glory be to the Father and his sons! Children of Heavenly Parents!
