How Come We have Learned to Play Safe and Small with Our Lives?

I know life can be tough and it can be challenging but playing small with our thinking and with our lives can really keep us down! Mentors are great when they help us get out of that thinking – but it’s much more than that its a way of living! I don’t mean to crazy dangerous things and take chances that could kill or injure you – but being safe all the time will never get us where we really need to go!

All of us have a mission to fulfill but finding out what that is at a young age and than doing it – may not be that easy for most of us… Why?

When we were kids we played, dreamed had fun and love life generally speaking… as we got older we generally did less of those things until as an adult – we rarely do those things… fear, education, doubts, being hurt, and many other things could encourage us to play it safe – I get it!

History has shown us that the heros and risk takers often help us get to where no one has been able to take us – innovation – often is paved with lots of sacrifices and often – rejection and hurt to say the least – from piers, friends, family and others – even society as a whole…

Some things are covered up – somethings are bought before they get to market and many other things can keep us from our dreams – but we keep pushing forward anyway, think about that for a moment and let that sink in… the true shakers – are always those that have taken great risks – often against great odds – to do things no one else was willing to try – let alone do!

Often we have to go deep within ourselves to and pull out resolve and determination far beyond what we ever thought we had – to go where we have never gone before – and often it’s in great trials and sacrifices that these things are done – so – know that if you want to be great – you often have to give up a great deal to get there – great sacrifice proceed great progress – this has been repeated so many times in history – just take a look at – our heros – heroines and others great leaders – what have they given up to get – where they are? So if you want an easy safe life – forget about greatness… it more than likely will not happen… that’s your choice…

Some are driven – some are pushed and some are inspired for a better cause – regardless of what moves us forward – often there are great challenges and opposition to get there – that’s how is was with Joseph Smith, and many others – pick a hero and you will see great service, sacrifice and often great trials in there lives – but greater blessings come with all of this! . What price are you willing to pay to achieve your burning dreams?
