Week 1 Golden Buddha

So there is a cute video of finding a golden Buddha inside of a stone statue that had started to crack!

Well since I can’t find a video of this story – so here goes – long long ago there was a village – in this village there was a beautiful golden Buddha – and every one worshiped and loved this symbol of love and peace – but there was a problem – war was coming and the village was humble and poor – they didn’t want the Buddha to be stolen become of it great gold value…

so they made cement and covered it all up to hid it.. it was not to long there after that the solders made it to the village – they could see that the villagers were poor – so they didn’t doubt that the stone Buddha was all they had to worship – so they went on through and many hundreds of years later –

Oh we are like the precious golden Buddha – of pure gold – but we too have been covered in less valuable cement – and have forgotten where the real gold is buried inside each of us – it take time to – well that’s the rest of the story –

So many hundred of years later a little boy starts whacking the stone Buddha will a stick and notices a piece of stone cracks and falls off the foot of the statue – amaze he tells the rest of the villagers and they start whacking at the Statue – and sure enough another part of the stone falls off to reveal GOLD inside of the stone statue –

No they take all of the stone off – to reveal the beautify Golden Buddha!

WE are like that stone statue that has a much more valuable inside but we also have to work on the getting all the stone or cement off us – so we can really shine and bless ourselves and others!
